The wind was from the east which makes it difficult to set a start line that can be sighted from the control area. The breeze started out to be shifty but settled down in the afternoon. Once around the top marks, you are sailing directly away from you to the bottom marks which makes them difficult to see with boats blocking your view.  Greg set the courses for us making the best of the prevailing conditions, many thanks Greg. Skippers did the right thing resulting in a good days sailing.  Tony boat was sailing fast until it broke down after race 5 and Tony took over the RO duties. Many thanks Tony.  Andrew made available 4 of his buoy-boats which made adjusting the course much easier.          BC

It was good to get back on the water after our break due to covid restrictions.  All skippers took the restrictions seriously and a good days sailing was had by all.

Greg once again showed us the way, with Brad and John keeping him honest.  Greg took some time to help Steve tune his boat.
Thanks Greg your assistance was much appreciated.          BC

What had the potential of being a great day at Emerald Lakes had to be called short due to a gov look down to come into effect at 1600. We were able to get 9 good races in before we had to call time to allow he skippers time to be home by 1600.  We were fortunate to have Gary McCarthy, Brian Sheering and Peter Sherwood sail with us today. It was a pleasure to have your company and hope to see a lot more of you in upcoming events.  Congratulations to our winners: Brad, Allan and John.          BC

The Covid restrictions are having a heave effect on visitors from Brisbane or from south of the boarder. The wind was from the west and required B rigs to be used by all boats, The small fleet made for competitive racing.  Congratulations to our winners: Peter Warwick and Mike.  Andrew was sailing his new, beautifully prepared timber Corbie.          BC
